These seeds can be sown in April/May or in September/October, and you just quickly rake them in and leave them. They don’t even need good soil. It’s good for your local pollinators, especially bees and other useful insects, and it’s good for biodiversity too.
Each packet contains field poppy, corn chamomile, corn marigold, ox-eye daisy, cornflower, and corncockle, so you can sow your own mini wild meadow. Or, if you like, you can sow them into a deep pot and move them around your garden or allotment as needed.
Want a packet? All you have to do is head over to the Golightly Gardens Facebook page, stopping briefly to give us a quick ‘like’ if you’re feeling friendly and want to give us a bit of encouragement, and then leave a comment under the featured post with picture of the wildflower seed packet that’s on that page. UK residents only please, but apart from that it’s first come, first served.
EDITED TO ADD: All the packets of wildflower seeds have been claimed now. Many thanks to everyone who showed an interest.
